“合法性周边参与”对大学英语课堂建设的启示

摘要 分析了中国大学英语教学的现状,认为"实践共同体"理论,尤其是其"合法性周边参与"观点对大学生英语学习的优质课堂建设具有重要的启示。只有在课堂中赋予学生足够的参与该实践共同体的"合法性"和"周边性",学生才可能获得课堂所提供的经验和知识,并逐渐取得学习上的更大进步。指出教育工作者应该对学生的不同参与程度以及参与类型有充分的理解和认识,朝着积极的方向引导学生,努力营造一个适合学生参与和学习的课堂环境。 The status of college English teaching of China is analyzed.The theory of "community of practice",especially the viewpoint of "legal peripheral participation",is considered having important inspiration to high quality college English classroom construction.Only students in the classroom are given adequate "legitimacy" and "peripheral" when participating in the community of practice,students could obtain experience and knowledge provided by the classroom,and gradually make progress in learning.Educators should have full understanding and awareness on students' different degrees and types of participation;guide students toward a positive direction;and create an appropriate classroom environment for students' participation and learning.
