In a recent interview with China Accounting,Dr.Chen Yugui,Vice President and Secretary General of CICPA,elaborated on the newly issued Working Plan on Developing Accounting Service Demonstrative Bases.Dr.Chen states that developing accounting service demonstrative bases is not only an intrinsic requirement of the accountancy profession,but also driven by external demands.It is regarded as an important factor to optimize and modify the professional service structure.This is a key approach to improve the regional developing layout of the profession,as well as a major move to enhance and expand the strategic leadership role of the Institute.In recent years,the CICPA has been constantly conducting researches and exploring ways for the accountancy profession to better serve the nation's development,such as the Accounting Service Program for Financial Base in Sichuan,construction of Service Bridgehead in Yunnan,Regional Strategic Consultation Program in Beijing,etc.These creative initiatives are outstanding examples in the development of non-audit services of the profession.
