Pipeline leak monitoring is of great significance for protecting the safe operation of long-distance natural gas pipeline.The paper introduces the operating principle of sonic pipeline leak monitoring system,as well as its detailed application in TA-YA natural gas pipeline of oil and gas transportation and sale division,Northwest Oilfield Branch Company,SINOPEC,and analyzes the problems existing in the current operation,all of which can be helpful for the safety of its natural gas pipeline.
