In the article,the analysis of the idle capacitor compensation principle and watt-hour meter＇s working theory indicated that,the measured value of the watt-hour meter would be larger when the reactive power compensation capacitor was placed in front of it,and would be lesser when the capacitor was placed behind.The result of theory analysis was verified by experimental data.
