In the Chinese ancient art,sculpture creation is a huge project,requiring a tremendous amount of work with a variety of forms.Both in quality and in number,sculpture takes overwhelmingly predominance among various plastic arts.The emperors and officials of every dynasty in history were well aware of the Tao of ＂No splendor,no dignity＂.Obviously,sculpture works are the extremely important instrument on the historical stage,except that the sculptors have no chance to show up on the stage.Their miserable fate of being forlorn and lonely is indeed bitterly disappointing.Therefore,we are wondering where the Chinese ancient sculptors and what they had done to sculpture.It is undoubtedly necessary to sort out their final destination of art,their patterns of behavior and social status.
