Recently Artprice,a French website,released a report on the trend of 2010 world art market,in which Chinese art market was the highest-frequency term.Meantime,the cover of the report,with the five-star red flag of P.R.China on it,was also conspicuous,which shows the booming market of Chinese art in 2010.Similarly,the report on the survey of the Chinese art auction market done by a domestic art centre early this year indicates over the past 20 years the development of Chinese art market has reached its record high,drawing the unprecedented attention of society and media.In contrast with the booming art market,academic construction and system innovation have relatively lagged behind.Therefore,the record-high transaction prices and total value traded in 2010 have brought Chinese art market into a situation where new opportunity and challenge coexist.
