Objective To explore the impact of Hyperlipoidemia on time to peak of the brachial artery diameter. Methods Forty patients with untreated Hyperlipoidemia(Hyperlipoidemia group) and 30 normal subjects(control group) were enrolled in this research.Flow mediated dilation(FMD) detection based on the echo-tracking technology(eTRACKING) and the FMD-specific device were applied to measure time to peak of the brachial artery diameter.Data were statistically analyzed. Results Time to peak of the brachial artery in Hyperlipoidemia group was(70.70±6.99)s and that of control group was(60.25±5.38)s.There was significant difference between the two groups(P0.001).Conclusion Endothelial damage may occur before its dysfunction.Time to peak of the brachial artery diameter measured by the new FMD detection technology can be used as a useful indicator for early endothelial damage.
