摘要
从宠儿到弃儿,赴美上市的中国企业此刻深切体会到在华尔街坐过山车的滋味。
Recently some listed companies from China were charged with fraud and accounting mismanagement in the US. Listed Chinese companies are facing an unprecedented credibility crisis in the US as the exposure of the recent accounting scandals will hurt the US-listed Chinese companies collectively. In order to gain access to the US capital market, many Chinese firms have used "reverse mergers" which allows them to avoid some of the scrutiny. However, some Chinese companies are unfamiliar with the rules for the US capital market. It might be easier for the Chinese companies to go public in the US while they have to meet stricter regulatory requirements after that.Analysts warned that there would be a further plunge in the share prices of the US-listed Chinese companies if they do not take action to contain the ballooning credibility crisis.
