中北太平洋深海Nd同位素的分布与传输途径 被引量:3

摘要 以往一直笼统地认为,中北太平洋深水(约1500~4000m)富放射成因Nd来自太平洋岛弧的输入,但对于其输入的路径与方式缺乏进一步的认识.通过取自于中北太平洋20°N附近海山17个不同深度铁锰结壳,测定了该区结壳表层样的Nd同位素组成.结合已发表的海水Nd同位素数据,获得了如下新的认识:北太平洋中层水(NPIW,300~800m)在西太平洋边缘所携带的Nd通过平流带入整个中北太平洋,是中北太平洋深水获得富放射成因Nd的重要来源,而浅表层海洋Nd对中北太平洋深海的影响则不明显.这凸显了大陆边缘洋流垂向混合输入对中北太平洋深水Nd同位素平衡的作用,为深入认识海洋Nd循环提供了启示.此外,从铁锰结壳表层样获得的中北太平洋深水εNd值较为均一,平均值约为-3.4,高于已报道的本区现代海水实测的εNd均值(约为-3.9),说明中北太平洋深水Nd同位素在较短时间尺度上的演化并不是稳定不变的.
