Holistic Viewpoint in the Ecological Economics

在简要介绍整体性视角含义的基础上,总结了生态经济学基本思想、主要问题、学科演替、新兴领域及未来研究主题中体现的整体性视角.分析了传统的水资源社会经济循环规律研究的劣势,在简单介绍了上升性(效率)、发展能力、恢复力和可持续性等指标及其含义后,开发了整体性视角下的水资源社会经济循环规律研究框架.最后系统地总结了整体性视角在生态经济研究中的作用,阐述了在研究工作中培养整体性视角的途径.

The aim of this paper is to provide the holistic viewpoint to the readers who study ecological economics and other relevant disciplines.Simply,the holistic viewpoint concentrates its attention at identifying analysis factors from the viewpoint of wholeness,and at summing the relationship among identified factors from a variety of viewpoints and investigating the structure characteristics of the wholeness,rather than at part level and part analysis. The role of identifying factors from holistic viewpoint is presented in identifying the principal ideas and problems in ecological economics,understanding the evolutionary trend followed the path originating from bioeconomics to ecological economics,and to human ecological economics.Some ecological economics research fields and trends are illustrated and developed from the viewpoint of holism.The analysis shows that it is easy to catch on the pick of the basket of ecological economics from the holistic viewpoint. The disadvantage of traditional methods of water resources social-economic cycle is also discussed,and some wholeness indicators like ascendancy,development capacity,restoring force and sustainability originated from Ulanowicz＇s evolutionary theory are introduced in this paper.A new research framework is put forward on water resources social-economic cycle by combining the above wholeness indicators with some part indicators derived from traditional analysis.The new framework has evident advantage in conveying the information about the system＇s structure and function that is usually ignored in the part analysis. In the final part,some generalizations are presented about the function of holistic viewpoint in the research of ecological economics,the most significant attempts are considered that can be made to take a holistic viewpoint to improve the research performance.
