Micellization and adsorption at air/water interface in C 12 TAB and C 12 E 7 mixed aqueous solutions have been investigated by surface tension technology.The results showed that with addition of C 12 E 7 into C 12 TAB solution,the critical micelle concentration (C cmc ) was markedly decreased and the surface tension reduction effectiveness and the surface tension reduction efficiency were pronouncedly enhanced.In comparison with anionic/nonionic surfactant mixed system,cationic/nonionic surfactant preferred to form mixed micelles,however,their tendency for adsorption at air/water interface seemed to be weaker than the former.
