本文在对玉山台地与夹溪的特征、成因进行专门实地考察、研究的基础上，提出兴利除害结合，开源节流并举，开发与保护并重，实行经济、社会和环境效益“三统一”

Based on special on the spot investigation and researches on the features and causes of the tableland and Narrow stream in Yushan,the paper put foward a multipurpose development suggestion about agriculture and tourism,which is to promote what is beneficial and to abolish what is harmful,to carry on increasing income and reducing expenditure,to lay equal stress on development and protection at the sametime,and to carry out synthesis of economic,social and environmental benefits.
