In the next 10 -20 years, the foreign trade of the cities in the Yangtze River Delta will be at a low point of growth, facing pressures from the rising factor costs, industrial upgrading and the moving - out of the local industry with low value -added. To sustain the economic growth, these cities need to change foreign economic and trade development models first. Ningbo is typical city of the Yangtze River Delta. By analyzing the impact of financial crisis to Ningbo, the problems and relevant solutions could be illustrated.
