Mao Zedong,while directing Chinese people in the revolution and building of China,made preliminary research into socialist core value system in that he adopted a scientific attitude towards Marxism and developed it,contributed much effort to the research into a socialist road with Chinese characteristics,advocated and followed the national spirit and tried in constructing a new moral system bearing the connotation and features of Communism.All these turn out to be an important theoretical source of socialist core value system.
