Reading is one of the significant skills in language teaching.Whether it is a success or not in English reading teaching has direct influence on the comprehensive application ability of the undergraduate students.How to to improve the teaching effectiveness of English reading in colleges is one of the issues with which the educators is concerned the most.This article attempts to illustrate the current situation of the reading instruction and analyzes the key factors that restrain the reading instruction and finally to find a solution to improve the teaching of English reading.
