Maxine Hong Kingston is one of the most influential American-Chinese woman writers.Her maiden work The Woman Warrior describes American-Chinese heroine＇s experience of growing up,which reveals that American-Chinese females confront racial and gender plight in America,and shows American-Chinese females＇ determination and effort in order to get rid of the identity of ＂the other＂.The paper will employ post-colonial feminism theory to figure out American-Chinese females＇ double identities of ＂the other＂ and the difficult process of subverting them,aiming at exploring American-Chinese females＇ orientation made by Maxine Hong Kingston in this novel.
