焦点的音系、语义与语用--焦点研究的新视野

Exploring focus in view of phonology,semantics and pragmatics: A critical survey

本文对焦点研究领域近十年来的发展作了回顾和剖析。从以语义研究为重点转而关注音系、语义、语用的界面问题,焦点研究近年来的探索主要呈现两方面趋势:一方面是挖掘焦点的音系表现以及音系与焦点投射、已知性的关系;另一方面,焦点语义/语用理论的对立促进对焦点本质以及对焦点敏感算子内部分类的思考。研究手段、方法上的创新,互动过程中各因素作用的厘清对今后的焦点研究和其他的界面研究都有重要的启发和借鉴意义。

This paper presents a review of the recent explorations in the study of focus.Turning from the semantics of focus to the interface problems,the study of focus has witnessed two major trends:(1) increasing interest in the study of the phonological realization of focus and the relationship between phonology,the projection of focus and givenness;(2) the emergence of pragmatic theories of focus.The true nature of focus association is called into question and has prompted much empirical research.The development of new testing methods and the attempt to delineate the roles played by various contributing factors will shed new light on interface studies in general,and on future studies of focus in particular.
