从古代绘画看我国的水磨技术

Watermill Technology in Ancient Chinese Paintings

继前人发现我国古代8幅绘有水磨的绘画后,笔者新发现了7幅绘有水磨以及5幅疑似绘有水磨的古代绘画。其中15幅确凿的水磨画不同程度地反映了古代水磨的一些技术细节,为研究我国古代农具史提供了新的视角。由于宋元之际我国画风的变革,这些画在描绘水磨上也呈现出前后不同的旨趣。

After Joseph Needham and Zhang Zhijie found eight ancient paintings illustrating ancient Chinese watermdls, the author discovers another seven paintings with watermills and five others probably with watermills. Fifteen of them that are clearly illustrated with watermills reveal certain technological details of ancient watermills and offer a new approach to the history of ancient Chinese farming implements. In view of the stylistic transformation in traditional Chinese painting during the late Song to the early Yuan, these painted watermills were depicted differently.
