摘要
本文对番红花花粉在光学显微镜和扫描电镜下的形态特征进行了观察和描述,并用染色法和花粉萌发试验法评价番红花花粉的活力。实验结果表明:番红花花粉粒的形状和大小很不一致,其活力也很低,且在萌发试验中还可见异常花粉管,这些均支持了认为番红花是三倍体植物而难以进行有性繁殖的观点。
Pollen morphology and viability of Crocus sativus was examined under LM and SEM. It was observed that pollen grains are spheroidal or irregular, 50—130μm diameter, nonaperturate, exine with spinule, sexine thicker than nexine under SEM, but thier size and shape are quite variable.
From experiments on pollen stainability and germinability, the authors found that the pollen viability was very low, because of abnormal pollen tubes during the pollen germination.
Due to pollen grains of C.sativus L. being much more irregular, very low rates of stainability and germinability, we supported the assumption that C.sativus is a triploid species.
