The theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics is a scientific theoretical system which includes such important strategic thoughts as Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of Three Represents and the outlook of scientific development. It maintains and develops Marxism, Leninism and Mao Zedong thought, condenses the wisdom of several generations of leaders in their continuous practice. It is the newest fruits of Marxism＇s application in China and the precious political and spiritual wealth of the CPC, and the shared ideological basis for national unification and struggle. Revolving around the clarification of its theoretical connotation in the report of Hu Jintao at the 17^th. National Congress, the article points out that it is necessary to grasp the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics concisely, comprehensively and systematically.
