固定正畸前进行牙周洁治对正畸患者牙龈和菌斑指数的影响

EFFECT OF PERIODONTAL SCALING BEFORE ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT ON THE GINGIVAL AND PLAQUE INDEX IN PATIENTS UNDERGOING ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT

目的探讨固定正畸前行牙周洁治方法对正畸患者牙龈和菌斑指数(plaque index,PLI)的影响。方法选择正畸初诊患者42例,随机分为对照组和试验组,每组21例。试验组于正畸前进行全口牙周洁治;对照组组仅在初诊时进行口腔卫生指导,其余不作处理。记录治疗前和治疗后6个月内的牙龈指数(gingival index,GI)、PLI和龈沟出血指数(sulcus bleeding index,SBI),作统计分析并评价疗效。结果治疗前GI、PLI、SBI组间差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);治疗后试验组3项指标明显低于治疗前及对照组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论固定正畸前行牙周洁治有效降低成人固定矫治过程中的牙龈炎发生率、维护牙周组织健康。

Objective To observe the effect of periodontal scaling before orthodontic treatment on the gingival and plaque index （PLI） in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. Methods Fortytwo patients undergoing orthodontic treatment were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, 21 cases in each group. Experimental group received periodontal scaling before orthodontic treatment, while control group only was given the oral hygiene instruction. The gingival index （ GI）, PLI and sulcus bleeding index （SBI） were recorded before treatment and 6 months after treatment. The Data were statistically analysed to evaluate the efficacy. Results Before treatment, GI, PLI, SBI had no significant difference between the two groups （P 〉 0. 05 ）;Compared with control group, the three indicators in the experiment group were statistically decreased （ P 〈 0.05 ） after treatment. Conclusion Use of periodontal scaling before orthodontic treatment could reduce incidence of gingivitis in adult and maintain the periodontal health.
