This paper expounds some statistical concepts such as the readers＇ library-presence rate in traditional library management mode,points out that the readers＇ library-presence rate has lost its original meaning and function in today＇s library work and the continuous use of this concept certainly will affect the library development,and probes into the weakening of the concept of the readers＇ library-presence rate and the rational configuration and utilization of the resources.
