Speech Act Theory and Translation

翻译可视为一种言语行为。从这个意义上说,译者在翻译中除了传达言内行为外,更重要的是传达表明源语作者意图的言外行为,以便在译文中产生相应的言后行为。本文旨在对言语行为理论做一个全面的概括,在此基础上阐述了言外行为对翻译的指导作用。

Translation can be regarded as a speech act. In this sense, except for conveying locutionary, the more important for trans- lators is to convey and express illocutionary act of author, so as to produce the corresponding perlocutionary act in the Iranslation. This article makes a comprehensive summary of speech act, and on this basis, describe the guiding role of illocutionary act to translation.
