This paper describes the trip trouble of the 500kV circuit breaker occurred excitation transformer while charging main transformers during the commissioning period of Hebei Zhanghewan Storage Power Co. Ltd. ,and makes an analysis of the possible failure causes and proposes solutions so as to improve the reliability of the protection devices of the power station.
