Research on the Ren Hong-jun's Way of Running a School

任鸿隽作为"中国现代科学事业的拓荒者",秉持科技救国理念,出任四川大学校长,革新校政,形成了五大"道":造成"国士"的育人之道、注重效率的管理之道、面向"应用"的服务之道、"汇通内外"的开放之道、"三位一体"的和谐之道,对当今高等教育改革有借鉴之策。

Ren Hong-jun,as ＂China＇s modern scientific pioneer＂,adheres to the philosophy of revitalize China through science and technology.When he took up the post of the president of Sichuan University,he brought changes in school administration,contributed to the innovation of Sichuan University and therefore the thought and the practice to run university in the following five aspects are formed：the way of educating ＂Chinese officials＂;the way of managing universities focusing on efficiency;the way of providing application-oriented service;the way of opening up to the outside world with the purpose of ＂information exchange＂;the way of achieving harmony through ＂trinity＂.The attempts that he made during his running of Sichuan University will shed enlightenment on current higher education reform.
