Facing Challenge: the Legality of Ethnic Universities in China

民族院校是中国共产党根据解决国内民族问题的需要而创办的一种特殊类型的高等院校,其合法性来源于意识形态基础、制度基础和有效性基础。在新的历史时期,民族院校的合法性面临着新的问题,应通过完善民族院校制度、增强办学的有效性和推进党的民族理论创新,重塑民族院校的合法性,使民族院校赢得社会的广泛信任和支持。

Ethnic universities are higher learning institutions of a special type set up by the Communist Party of China for the need of tackling issues related with ethnic minorities.Their legality originated from ideological base,systematic base as well as validity base.In the new time,this legality encounters a new challenge.To help ethnic universities obtain social trust and support,their legality should be reestablished through optimizing system,strengthening efficiency in school running and making innovations in national theories of the Party.
