摘要
PostGIS是开源对象关系型数据库系统PostgreSQL的扩展,实现对空间数据存储、管理和操作。文章提出了基于PostGIS的空间数据库总体设计思路,并以数字珠海地名数据库为应用案例,指出PostGIS空间数据库在设计实施过程中应考虑的问题及解决途径。
PostGIS is the extension of object-relational PostgreSQL database system,PostGIS is used to achieve the spatial data storage,management and operation.The principle of designing spatial database based on PostGIS was introduced in this paper.Uusing the development of Zhuhai Toponym Database as a case study,several issues which are necessary to be considered during implementation were discussed in order to provide references of construction of spatial database of thematic information system.
