Effective interactivity and reduction of reticence in college English classroom

在高校英语教学过程中,中国学生在课堂上的沉默现象是一个困扰许多英语教师的难题。这一现象背后有着复杂的主客观原因,但就课堂教学本身而言,教师应发挥教学设计者和指导者的作用,采取科学、有效的课堂互动策略,充分调动起学生的学习积极性和主动性,使学生真正成为教学主体,使各教学要素充分互动起来,树立并加强学生的成就动机,是当前英语教师的课堂重点,也是破解这一难题的根本所在。

In the teaching of college English,reticence is perplexing to teachers.This attributes to subjective and objective causes.English teachers,however,should play the role of designers and facilitators to implement scientific and effective interactive teaching to initiate a true student-centered learning and solve the problem of reticence in class.
