"唯新主义"以其特有的活力在中国近代社会转型中逐渐形成了特定的价值审择标准,而这一标准在五四文学革命中被展现得淋漓尽致,也在文学革命中发挥出了奇迹般的思想范式魔力,并且影响到了中国现代文学的发展方向。究其实质,这一文学观无非是将文学放在进化论的砝码上锱铢必较。必须看到,文学的审美价值并不能按照科学进化论的价值加以审择,削足适履式的将其运用于文学领域,必然造成文学价值评判标准的混乱。回首这一审择,新文学的隐患时断时续。

Seeking the new is a special aesthetic criterion in the transition of society in modern China,which is reflected fully in the revolution of the May 4th Movement and affects the developing direction of China＇s modern literature.In essence,this view of literature can be seen clearly in the evolutionism.The aesthetic value of literature can＇t be decided by scientific evolutionism,which can lead to the confusion of literary value criteria.Looking back to this criterion,the hidden trouble of New Literature is on and off.
