摘要
着重从编码原理、发展现状和国际标准三个方面论述了图像的无损压缩研究及其现状,描述了基于不同解相关模型的无损压缩算法的主要思想。同时,由于无损方法的低压缩比有时很难满足某些实际应用的要求,文中进一步阐述了近无损压缩的概念,阐明了近无损压缩方法:基于感兴趣区域、视觉无损以及信息无损的具体含义,并就无损压缩以及近无损压缩研究领域内所存在的一些问题和更深一步研究的方向进行了一些有益的探讨。
The development of image lossless compression techniques is presented in three parts: the compression foundation, the current development and the international standard. The main ideas of different compression methods based on different decorrelation models are discussed in detail. The concept of near lossless compression, such as region of interest method, visual lossless method and information lossless method, is also described due to the fact that some applications require more efficient compression results which cannot be provided by lossless compression algorithms. Finally, the problems and the future directions of lossless and near lossless image compression are discussed in view of future requirements.
