中西文化中的"社会"概念具有相当大的意涵区分,学界围绕滕尼斯与马克思的"社会"概念展开了激烈的争论。国家与社会、个人与社会的关系或矛盾都可以通过社会更多地成为"公民社会"来化解。真正的"社会"本位确立,就是"公民社会"主题承诺的落实及其形态典范的创制。中国构建"和谐社会",必须有一般方法论原则和具体的资源路径保驾护航。

The implications of the concept＂society＂ in Chinese and Western cultures are different to some extent. In the academic world, there was a heated debated about the concepts of the word＂ society＂ given by F. Tonnies and Marx. Only by making society become＂ itizen society＂ ould the relationship or contradictions between state and society or between individuals and society be dissolved. If the real standards of＂iety＂ re established, the theme promise of＂ itizen society＂ ould be fulfilled and its typical forms could be created. In order to become a＂ armonious society＂, China must have both general methodological principles and concrete resources routes.
