Difference between Dock Root Radix Rumicis and Giant Knotweed Rhizome

目的:比较土大黄与虎杖在性状和功效方面的不同,纠正以前文献和临床中混淆的情况。方法:观察土大黄和虎杖的药用植物、药材、饮片的性状,调查临床药效。结果:土大黄与虎杖不是一种中药,性状和疗效都有不同。结论:在文献和临床上对土大黄与虎杖的区别要加以重视。

Objective：To compare the differences of properties and efficacy between Dock Root Radix Rumicis and Giant Knotweed Rhizome in order to correct the confusions in former literature and clinical practice.Methods：The properties of the medicinal plants,crude Chinese medicinals,processed Chinese medicinals of Dock Root Radix Rumicis and Giant Knotweed Rhizome were observed and the clinical efficacies were investigated.Results：Dock Root Radix Rumicis and Giant Knotweed Rhizome were not the same Chinese medicinals with different properties and efficacies.Conclusion：The differences between Dock Root Radix Rumicis and Giant Knotweed Rhizome should be paid great attention in literature and clinical practice.
