回顾了潜理理论的发展过程，从光生电子和空穴的产生、捕获及功能，潜影的临界尺寸以及潜影银的成核与生长等方面对潜影理论的研究进行了综述。

Main latent image theories were summarized and assessed.The study on the latent image was reviewed in the produce,capture of the photoelectron and positive hole,the functions of the photoelectron and positive hole,the critical size of the latent image,the nuclear and the growth of the latent image silver,respectively.Moreover,the development thent of the latent image theory was prospected.
