金融工程学是现代金融学最新发展而成的一门工程型新兴交叉学科。在归纳了金融工程学的内涵及其研究范围的基础上，对金融工程学的发展简史及其基本特点予以回顾，概括提出金融工程学的发展趋势。无疑对开展金融工程学的研究和应用具有一定指导意义。

The rapidity with which corporate finance,commercial bank,investment banking and investments have changed from the late eighties to the early nineties of the twentieth century has given birth to a new cross discipline that has come to be known as Financial Engineering.As a latest development of modern finance has been advanced towards productizing and engineering. This paper presents the definition and research fields of Financial Engineering,we establish the process and basic features of the developments of Financial Engineering.Then we summarize and predict the developing tendencies of researches in Financial Engineering.
