This paper analyses the problems existing in college English learning and the causes of these problems.It introduces methods of stimulating students＇ motivation and interest in learning English at college： carrying out English teaching according to different grades,cultivating a relaxed and harmonious class atmosphere,lead-in class in different ways,encouraging the students,paying attention to the students＇ emotion,reforming the traditional test methods,improving the teaching staff and improving the teachers＇ quality.
