Research on the Three-Elder Clan and Their Instruments

文斗是锦屏文书的最早发现地,同时也是锦屏文书数量最多和最典型的村落,已引起学界的广泛关注。文斗所保存的锦屏文书最大特点是归户性、连续性强,种类齐全。而在文斗所发现的锦屏文书中,又以姜元泽等户所保存的文斗下寨"三老家"家族契约文书最典型。通过介绍和分析"三老家"及其契约文书,对了解和研究锦屏等清水江中下游地区清代中后期大族经济的兴衰和民间契约文书的管理状况将起到管中窥豹的作用。

As the place where Jinping instruments were earliest found,Wendou is the village with the most typical and the largest number of instruments,attracting great attentions from the academic world.The varied kinds of Jinping instruments preserved at Wendou belong to different clans from generations to generation and that forms the most distinctive features of the instruments.Among the instruments found at Wendou,the there-elder clan＇s instruments saved by Jiang Yuanze and other households at lower Wendou village are the most typical clan contract documents.The presentation and analysis of such clan contract documents is helpful to understand the economic changes of some important clans and civil management of contract documents in places like Jinping at the middle and lower reaches of the Qingshui River in the late Qing Dynasty.
