俄罗斯人对戈尔巴乔夫的评价依然大相径庭

Russians' Quite Different Evaluations on Gorbachev

2011年3月是戈尔巴乔夫诞辰80周年,通过贺信、访谈和民意调查等形式,俄罗斯总统和总理、政界人物、政治学家以及普通民众,对戈尔巴乔夫及其历史作用作出了截然不同的评价。它表明,尽管苏联解体和戈尔巴乔夫辞去总统已经整整20年,但是,俄罗斯社会各界对于戈尔巴乔夫在那个重要历史时期的作用及其成败的评价依然是见仁见智。造成这种大相径庭的评价的原因与转型时期的俄罗斯社会在如何评判苏联历史问题上所出现的困惑和分歧密切相关。

March, 2011 is the 80th armiversary of the birth of Gorbachev, and December in the same year is al so the 20th anniversary of disintegration of the Soviet Union. On the occasion of these major events, there are heated debates about the arrangement by the Russian community for Gorbachev＇s birthday celebration, the deci- sion granting awards to Gorbachev signed by President Medvedev, Gorbachev＇s historical acts and his historical role. By the form of congratulation letters, interviews and opinion polls, Russian president and prime minister, politicians, political scientists and ordinary people made different evaluation on historical role of Gorbachev. It shows that although it has been 20 years since the Soviet Union disintegrated and Mikhail Gorbachev left the po- litical stage, there are also different opinions on Gorbachev＇s role and his success and failure in that important historical period in Russian community. The reason for the different evaluations is closely related to the confusion and differences when Russia society evaluating historical issues of the Soviet Union in transitional period.
