An Economic Analysis of the Lack of Pricing Power of Chinese International Trade

缺失国际贸易定价权并导致我国经济的"输血式增长",这已成为国民之痛。我国缺失国际贸易定价权既有对商品和资源过度供求的原因,也有未形成有利的市场结构的原因,不仅包括没能形成整合全球价值链能力的原因,也包括期货市场不健全进而没能形成全球定价中心的原因,以及人民币没有成为国际储备和国际贸易结算货币的原因等;因此,我国培育、形成和掌握国际贸易定价权是一项系统工程,需要从各个方面入手,采取综合性、且富有成效的措施才能实现。

The lack of pricing power in international trade has become a serious problem of Chinese economy. There are several reasons for the lack of pricing power in international trade, which include the over-supply and over-demand in goods and resources, the failure of building an advantageous market structure, the failure of forming the integration capacity for global value chain, the imperfectness of futures market resulting in the failure of becoming the global pricing center, and the failure of RMB to become an international reserve and settlement currency, etc. Therefore, it is a systematic project for China to cultivate, form and control the international trade pricing power, and China needs to take comprehensive and effective measures from all aspects to realize this goal.
