抗战期间西南联大“民主堡垒”形成因素分析——以西北联大为参照

抗战期间,西南联合大学之所以成为著名的"民主堡垒",得益于云南独特的地理环境、开明的地方政治、西南联大自由开放的校园风气,以及组成西南联大的三校团结合作的办学风格。这几个方面的因素相互配合,相互作用,相互发酵,最终促使西南联大形成抗战时期闻名全国的"民主堡垒"。西北联大尽管师生也有民主意识,但是由于学校内部的不团结,学校逐渐被肢解,办学规模和实力不断缩小,校方领导更替频繁,学校丧失了"教育独立"的性质,未能形成如西南联大一样的"民主堡垒"和办学成就。

During the Anti - Japanese War, the Southwest United University as Democracy Stronghold has profited from such elements as unique geography of Yunnan, enlightened local politics, free and open campus, and unite and cooperation style of the three combined Universities. These factors cooperate and work each other to make the famous Democracy Stronghold of Southwest United University. Although the teachers and students of Northwest United University also have consciousness of democracy, the interior disunion has weakened its scale and strength and its leaders are replaced frequently. Gradually the Northwest United University loses the educational independence and can not become the Democracy Stronghold like the Southwest United University.
