从认知语言方法论的角度看文化意象翻译

A Probe into Cultural Image Translation from the Perspective of Cognitive Linguistic Methodology

认知语言学方法论包含三个表征:"经验观"、"突出观"和"注意观"。以此为视角,探讨作为文化符号的意象翻译是一种有意义的尝试。在意象的翻译过程中,译者应考虑译语读者的认知体验,在译语中构建有利于读者理解的意象;还应重视原语意象信息的突出程度,在译语中做出相应的处理;也应该侧重意象的特质意义的表现,引导译语读者对特质信息的注意。文化意象翻译应该是动态的、合理的以及协调的操作过程。

The cognitive linguistic methodology contains three features： experiential view,prominence view and attention view.It is a meaningful attempt to explore how to translate images as cultural symbols.In the course of image translation,the translator ought to construct comprehensible images in the target language（TL） by taking into consideration the TL reader＇s cognitive experience;to handle images appropriately in correspondence with their prominence degree in the source language（SL）;and to invite the TL reader＇s attention to the special meanings of the images when the translator represents the special aspects of the cultural images.In this respect,the translation of cultural images can be considered a dynamic,reasonable and coordinating process.
