"兴边富民行动"是国家民委倡议发起的贯彻中央西部大开发战略的重大举措,对于加快边疆民族地区的发展,保持祖国的统一与稳定,促进各民族的共同繁荣与进步具有重要意义。兴边富民行动是时代的心声,完全符合中国多民族和长边界线的国情需要。为加快边境民族地区经济社会发展,促进各民族共同繁荣,应该加快边境地区的农业发展;改善边境地区基础设施建设,积极扩大区域经济技术合作,努力发展边境贸易;并加大边境地区的资金投入,加强人才队伍建设以及兴边富民行动的舆论宣传工作。

＂Enriching borderers activity＂ is a major move sponsored by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission for implementing the strategy of the West Development. It speeds up territory of nationality development and keeps the frontier consolidation and the unity of the motherland. It is of vital significance to promote common prosperity and progress of all the nationalities. First, this paper is aimed at explaining times demand through background pres- entation. Enriching borderers activity complies with Chinese conditions of multi-ethnic and long boundary need. In order to accelerate the social economic development at the borderers area and promote common prosperity of various minorities, we should speed up the agriculture development in the area, build more infrastructures, actively expand regional economic and technological cooperation, make efforts to development boarder trade, enhance capital investment and heighten talent team building and publicity.
