摘要
对数字图书馆( Digital Library, D L)研究中的关键技术:数字图书馆的系统模型、多媒体网络、多媒体同步模型和分布式多媒体数据库技术等进行了较为详细的讨论、分析和研究,并针对数字图书馆系统的具体应用提出了相应方法和策略,并实现了一个 D L原型系统。
Several Chinese universities and libraries have just begun prototype studies of DL. Different from them, we concentrate on full utilization of digitalized resources in DL. First and foremost of the key techniques we researched is the architecture of DL system as presented in Fig.1. This architecture may be conceived of as a “triangle”, where three vertices are: the central server, the multimedia server, and the client. This “triangle” architecture is intended to manage digitalized resources efficiently. The secoud key technique is our adaptation of ATM to satisfy the requirements of LAN(Local Area Network) needed by DL′s multimedia network and communication system. The third key technique is our proposal of a synchronization model DIOCPN (Distributed and Interactive Object Composition Petri Net) which takes into consideration the distributed environment and man machine interaction. The fourth key technique is the suitable selection of the good features needed for our purpose of two existing databases——relational and object oriented——for constructing a prototype of our multimedia database system. We implemented a prototype system of DL.
