With the rapid development of social politics, economy, culture and network information, new standards and requirements for college students＇ general competence are developed. In this respect, higher vocational college students unions should bear the heavy responsibility for the successful development of the college students. Thus, the characteristics of higher vocational college students are analyzed and explored, innovative ideas are put forward about the selection and cultivation of student cadres, management system, evaluation system and organization construction.
