介绍了有限区域的中尺度数值模式ＭＭ４ 的结构，物理过程等。用ＭＭ４ 模式对陕西省春季透雨和暴雨过程进行模拟试验，证明了ＭＭ４ 模式在陕西春季大降水预报中的可用性。

The structure and basic equation of a limited area mesoscale model MM4 are introduced.Some processes of spring precipitation in Shaanxi are analyzed.Results of MM4 are compared with real precipitation,the results show that the limited area mesoscale model MM4 is useful.
