The ASEAN Regional Forum is an important move intended for the South-east Asian countries to be provided with regional security protection with the ASEAN at the core under a new security situation.Its coming into being makes the formation of a regional security framework with the ASEAN in the lead.China has given support to the ASEAN Regional Forum in jointly finding effective ways to dissolve uncertain elements and has played positive part in consolidating and enhancing regional peace and stability in South-east Asia.In the coming years,the ASEAN will surely not become a military alliance and the general situation in the region will remain stable.To seek security through cooperation will continue to be an issue of major concern for China to handle its security relations with the South-east Asia countries.China will try to promote its strategic cooperation with the ASEAN,support its integration process and encourage it to play a leading role in promoting security cooperation within the East Asian region.
