On the Relationship between Internet Public Opinion and Accountability of Local Government

近年来,随着网络技术的发展和互联网的普及,从网上浏览信息并发表自己的看法,成为信息时代下人们生活中重要的一部分。网络舆论逐渐发展成为一种强大的力量并日益受到来自社会、政府的普遍重视。本文通过研究网络舆论和地方政府问责的特点及发展现状、趋势,提出了将网络舆论作为地方政府问责的手段和形式的路径选择。

Recently, as Internet technology develops and networks become more popular, people get easier access to the Internet to get information and to share their views, which has become a very important part of people＇s life. Public opinion from the Internet is forming into a stronger force and attracting the attention of the society and the government. This paper focuses on the specific traits, developmental trends of Internet public opinion and local government accountability, and proposes some alternatives for local governments to use them in exercising accountabilities.
