Sunday School Movement was originally an attempt by the English middle class intellectual elites who wanted to deal with the problem of child labour's education. It appeared in a special social context and had special idea origin. With the participation of the working class, more than half of the children of England enrolled in Sunday schools in mid-nineteenth century. Sunday schools were not only the places in which the children of working chlass learned to enhance the level of literacy and received religious indoctrination, but also an important social bond which connected their cultural life.
