This paper comprehensively described the advantages and disadvantages of the methods for considering the shear deformation in calculation of the beam deflection,suggested by S.P.Timoshenko,J.S.Przemieniecki and Mr.Hu Haichang respectively,and put forward a new method for calculating the beam shear deformation by means of setting up a shear displacement function.
