1980s saw a kind of new literary theory—post-colonial feminism appeared in European and American literature forum.Soon the attention of some critics of art and literature was attracted by the issue.The most typical one among the feminist works was The Color Purple by the black American writer Alice Walker.From the post-colonial feminist point of view,The Color Purple which focuses on black women＇s dual sufferings of the racial and sexual discrimination in this post-colonial era,and strongly calls for black women＇s liberation.
