This paper expounds the signifi cance of informatization to railway modernization, introduces the condition of Guangzhou-Shenzhen line, the complexity of transportation and the main functions of the CTC system. Aiming at functional innovation of the CTC system for the line, a detailed analysis is made, the application prospect of the CTC system is summarized and discussed.
